Krishna Shree is the newest member of r.i.c.e.'s team. She is currently working on a pilot project that educates mothers of vulnerable babies in rural Uttar Pradesh on breastfeeding and neonatal care practices. She is a published author with bylines in Firstpost and Beyond Nuclear International. Her work experience has been diverse, having worked with organisations such as NITI Aayog, National Alliance of People's Movements, British Council and so on.

She holds a bachelors degree in Sociology from Delhi University and a masters in Development Management from Madras School of Social Work. She is a Malayali who has lived and worked across the country.

r.i.c.e. is a non-profit research organization focused on health and well-being in India. Our core focus is on children in rural north India. Our research studies health care at the start of life, sanitation, air pollution, maternal health, social inequality, and other dimensions of population-level social wellbeing.
