Honey, West Bengal Shrunk the Kids

Media1 min read

In this blog post, Victoria Fan and Rifaiyat Mahbub of the Center for Global Development discuss reasons for differences in health outcomes between Bangladesh and West Bengal. They compare an older paper by Shroff et al with a recent paper by Arabinda Ghosh, and Dean Spears and Aashish Gupta of r.i.c.e., which attributes the difference in child height largely to open defecation.
