This article discusses the very real threat that air pollution poses in smaller cities and rural areas. Unfortunately, air quality data for towns and rural areas is essentially non-existent in India, but our own measures of air quality outside of the capital suggest that poor air quality is just as much of a threat in towns and rural areas.
